Danyan Leng

I graduated from the University of Washington in 2018 with double majors in economics and environmental science. After graduating from college, I continued my research on wolf-livestock coexistence and marmot conservation in Washington and worked for Canada jay behavioral study in Alaska. Before moving to New Haven for my graduate study, I also worked at a Seattle-based consulting firm on Chinese marine conservation and fisheries policy research to better understand China’s evolving relationship with the world’s oceans.

In 2022 I received a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) from Yale School of the Environment (YSE). My study focuses on ecosystem conservation and management. After joining the Jetz lab, I will focus on analyzing and synthesizing biodiversity data for global conservation activities.
